aight if u want a sub to hit hard, two 12s, go for the kicker comp vx, they are round and a better model than the cvrs, check them out, they got that competition sound to them =]

If you want clarity I would stay away from Kicker. JL makes good stuff, but I don't think I would go any lower in their product line than the W3 series.

I know this was not one of your choices, but i have two MTX 5500 in my trunk and they hit a lot harder then my friends kickers, just personal opinion

i will second dizzles advice for the MTX subs. I have personally compared both the CVR's and the MTX's and the MTX's hit harder and are pretty much the same price.

I had MTX 10 inch subs in my car, ditch them for JL 10w3's, and the difference is huge. the JL's are much clearer, hit harder. The JL's are all around a way better sub than MTX.
IMO some of the kicker line is OK but I'd go withe the JL's but like stated above go with w3's or better.
Image Dynamics makes a great sub thats not to expensive as well, if you find them

kickers will be louder in a good ported box. jls will sound clean and prefer a good sealed box
