Sony Amps = Best power for your buck, i suggest XM-2200GTX's

Subs = Kicker L5 or L7 or JL Audio

Cant go wrong with Kicker and JL!

I have a friend with two JL Audio 15w3's on a 500/1 JL Amp and a single JL 10w7 on another 500/1 amp, and the 10w7 is twice as loud as the both 15's hands down

Yeah, JL Audio = High Quality Shyt. Even though it's expensive, you won't ever want another sub again. Audiobahn = poop. Trust me, I have it lol.

are we talking the kenwood that has the built in amp and box?

I like that system, its small and pretty solid. i t will never outperform the jls and so on, but its a value package and it saves a LOT of trunk space.

if it's not JL or OLD SCHOOL, and I stress old school Kicker, don't buy it...anything from the era of the ZR amplifiers is good, and if you can't get those, get memphis audio...audiobahn is something you would buy at a flea market, they are 100% crap...

I have 2 Visonik V912D2 and a Boss 3000W amp. There is no point in getting something this big...there isn't enough air in the trunk to make these hit to their peak. I have my amp turned on about 10/100 and people say they can feel me in their houses when I drive by...so yeah.

I have a JL W3V2 12", just one and souds great. Dawn good quality, this one is not the only JL I've owned. If you want to over do it the W7 is the way to go. They are awsome though.

Gonna have to agree with the Mempis Audio....thats all I run in my car. And I would take it over JL any day. its the same if not better quality wise and its definitly cheaper. Im running one 12inch Memphis Mojo in a ported box with a Memphis PR 1000.1 Amp. And its as loud if not louder then my friends JL W7 13.5 inch ported with to DEI 1500's running to it. Mephis Gets my vote

Just had a sale down at a audio/video store down the road for two 12" memphis audio subs for $100. Was buy 1 get 1 free so if there was not sale, it would have been $200. Good ass deal.

i've been into car audio for 5 years now...belive me when i tell you that you get what you pay for. sure there are junk amps that say they are 3000 watts and cost like $200.00....well they are pieces of **** and will sound horrible. You're better off getting JL, Kicker, or PPI. If you see what seems like an awesome deal with an amp or a subs, it's probably junk, so watch out.

you won't be able to get a decent setup with only $250...save a little more and buy something worth the money

oohh, I forgot about PPI, that's some good stuff as well, but I don't know why this works out this way, but I love the old stuff, remember the kicker comp 18's, not the vr's or the ones with the new styling, but the ones with the red and white "K" on them? damn i use to have a bunch of those, those were sweet. Sorry flash backs from when I was an audio nut...so many options out there man, but nothing even decent for 250.00 My most extreme system was the 4 zr1000's powering 4 individual 15" L7's (yes the first version L7) and the least expensive was 2-12" JL 12w3's powered by a kicker zr600, the kickers zr's are slowly going out of existence and I was offered 600.00 for mine, but I will never sell it, ever...ok end semi-rant
