go to a car audio shop and ask them. they'll probably measure it and tell you.

I put a pioneer premeir in my stock enclosure. You will have to cut some of the plastic out of the inside. And take the plastic off the magnet. Then use some polly fill.

Why dont you just buy or biuld another box?? If your looking at Alpine Type r's than you are probably looking for volume and sq. Neither of wich will be reached with the stock enclosure.

The stock amp only puts out about 80 watts RMS (weak!), but the stock sub is well matched to it for maximum output. You will have a hard time finding a better sub with power handling ratings that low. If you want to upgrade your system, go all out and get a larger amp and a sub that is a good match for that amp. You should also get a larger rear firing enclosure and remove the old one.

The jl 10w1v2 is a perfect match for the stock box.You just need an mdf ring and use it as a spacer to clear the back of the box.You cant use the stock amp though.Im pushing it with my friends sony amp for the mean time.I like the sound, sounds 10x better than the stock sub.

no offence but from what ive seen the spacers look ghetto as ****. the only point of using the stock enclosure is keeping the clean look... if you want a sub that is to big build a custom box for that area or whatever.

loco i would look at the shallow mount subs that are out there. There isnt many but i know fosgate and pioneer both make some.

hahaha, take the PIONEER off the enclosure, other than that it looks good to me.

me personally i plan on going with one of Pioneer's shallow mount subs. i agree with your decision & reason for sticking with the factory enclosure. i also plan on buying a better pioneer amp to run to that sub, i'm sticking with the all Pioneer sound system, just upgrading everything as i go along.

Eh,i dont care about the pioneer logo for now.I was gonna go with the pioneer shallow sub,but from what i hear, that sub doesnt hit too hard. The jl sub is only rated for 150 watts i think, but from what i hear there underrated. The guy i bought it from said i can throw
300w at it and not worry about it.

I got a RF P3 shallow, with a different Amp, 280watts RMS to it in the stock enclosure. I am very Happy with it. (ME=Cavalier with 2 12's and 1000 Watts RMS each) I'll post pics in a few....

I know there are about 4 or 5 Shallow mount subs that will fit the factory box. Rockford Fosgate, Pioneer, Power Acuostic, Kicker, Kenwood, and Sony...
