I want to switch my 07 head unit to the 2010 head unit. Will this work so i have the usb function? I read about it having to relearn the vin? What is that?

 

to my knowlege it should work fine as long as you hook up the extra wires for the usb port...and as for the relearn you will need to take it by your local dealership for it to work they will unlock it for you for like 50-90 bucks! or.......you can get your tuner to unlock the raido for you for prolly free lol, idk if hp tuners can do it, but i know trifecta can so there ya go

 

So, extra wires for the usb? Where would they go to? Would it be a pain in the ass to do it? I just want to be able to charge my iphone and play music from it rather then just using the aux imput,then a seperate charger! Too many wires..LOL Thanks for your info btw...

 

There are NO extra wires for the USB port..

A tuner CANNOT unlock the radio for you.. including Trifecta...

All you have to do is take out the old radio, put the new one in, and take it to the dealer to be unlocked.
