URGENT Install Question

Hey guys,

i'm installing a radio right now as I type.. Pioneer AVH-P3100DVD.. It's a double-din screen.. I've already had two other radios in here though.. A Kenwood and currently an Alpine - both single-din.. The assembly isn't an issue.. I'm adding Sirius too.. did this to my Dad's Jeep last week with a Kenwood and it was cake..

BUT! What I need to know is, how do you properly hook up the e-brake sensor thing to make the DVD work? You need to have the e-brake "activated" to allow it to work.. So either hook it up to the e-brake OR just by-pass it somehow.. I'd be fine with either..

If anyone can help me with this in the next hour or so, that'd be amazing..

Thanks!!

theres so many how to's on this, i used a relay to ground, that way as soon as you turn the car on you can watch the movie, the other way is a switch to ground, but you have to flip it on every time. google this and you will get how to's with pictures

If you wanted to actually just wire directly to the e-brake, is it the blue one? Just splice into that one and call it a day?

Yes, found it. Very easy to wire, actually. It's blue for any further reference. But I'm gonna do the switch set-up to bypass it today anyway.. haha
