Why won't my mp3's play?
So I ripped some mp3's off of uhhh...my own cd's.. and put them on one disc for my car. However the songs that I ripped aren't playing. It only recognizes the ones that I downloaded (legally of course).
Any ideas? Suggestions?
I used Windows Media Player to rip them (probably my first mistake).

Media player by default rips as .wma not MP3's. Tools Options then copy music in the middle of the window check the format type. If it was Windows Media, change to MP3 delete the stuff you just ripped and then re rip it.
Damn i should have read the rest of the posts

I found a program called Switch that will do it, however, it doesn't like the digital rights management protection on the WMA's. I really hate microsoft right about now. Any way to get around the DRM?

I like CD-Rider to rip off a CD. Works good, has database to get and set ID3 tags, it's fast, and best of all......free. http://cdrider.sourceforge.net/

Stupid Windows Media Player protects the WMA's. The CD's themselves are not protected.
Looks like I'm just going to have to do it all over again....
Lesson learned, MICROSOFT SUCKS!!!!
