ive decided im going to go for spl and ive narrowed it down to 2 subs, 15 fi btl w/ all cooling options, or a 12 solo x. I can get the fi at retail price for 450 + shipping but I can get a used 08 sx12 for 350...
what do you guys think?

Ha, yah I know way to much money. But if you were looking for a sub to run insane power into that would be the one
I don't know I have to say Fi.
My reasons are well confusing to me even. I just can't get myself to like the square sub, I don't know why. Infact I lost all kinds of respect for Kicker when I first saw them, always seemed like a marketing ploy to me rather than a better way to make a sub. I dont know though, I have yet to even hear them, but I fear them and thus hate them

So here comes the long lengthy explanation. my vote had to do soley with the box size required per driver. I would trust an FI sub over a kicker any day. hands down no question in my mind BUT a 15 in the box size required for spl isnt going to work well period. There's a point when you seriously have to say no this is too big (learned that **** yesterday with some fucktard) anyway obviously a round 12 has the smallest box requirements, 12 square mid, 15 round biggest. the requirements for a single 12 leave a bit of trunk space left over so fitting the bigger 12 square isn't an issue... so IMO a 12 square is the loudest single sub space wise that could easily be done in a cobalt
but its all going to be in the box
but its all going to be in the box
well i decided the box im getting made is going to be tuned to 32hz, that kinda goes against the spl thing, cause i want it to hit hard low...
still say kicker if im going to have it tuned that low?
