Finally, Got the Cobalt

Picked up my car Thursday...

Now...

I am still looking to see if anyone in the capital region with a black Cobalt Coupe would want to swap trunk lids with me. Even swap, my brand new lid with SS/SC spoiler for a lid with no spoiler. Please let me know if you're interested. I'm willing to meet someone anywhere in the capital region.

since it has the polished wheels, is it an '07? or an '06? Just asking b/c i didn't think the '06's could come w/ the polished option???

Thanks a lot guys. It is a 2006 and I just ended up with the rims because the options I wanted were hard to find around here. This one had them so I took it with the Polished rims.

I've been on the site for a while now just keeping up on the mods available so I could get started right away when I picked up the car. At first, because of cash restraints, it's just gonna be the Ingall's TD, Tint, and getting rid of the spoiler if I can find anyone willing to swap with me. After this winter, it'll be the GM Stage 2, Eibach Springs, PB 2.8", Wheels and Tires, upper and lower grills, and painting of the headlights. Eventually I'm shaving the sucker too cause I already have the door popper kit from Autoloc from my last car. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh so excited.

Anyone, please let me know if you know anyone that's willing to swap lids. I want to avoid having to pay a body shop to patch the stock lid up.

grats on the car Edubs!

I'm thinking maybe it is just 'later' 2006 models that could get the polished wheels?
when I ordered mine there was absolutely no choice or option on initial ordering for the wheels.
I see the chevrolet website does have the polished as an option if you go through the build of a 2006, but when I got mine I had no choice (sometimes I kinda wish I coulda had the polished wheels.. but I dunno. I wanted arrival blue so I had to order mine early before they stopped arrival blue)

those of you with the polished wheels, do they stay clean looking longer ?
the brake dust likes to get all over the painted rims... but I guess that's just an excuse for me to wash the car more often and keep it sparkling overall

So far, the rims have stayed clean as can be. Break dust is minimal and doesn't show very well. I've put almost 800 miles on it over the past week and a half. Still love it! Already ordered the DC Strut Tower Brace and the Ingall's TD. Thinking about ordering the Stage II from Fred Bean today.
