yes im replacing them ASAP, preferbly with black rims with chrome lip. i would be interested in selling mine now. ill let ya know when n how much

 

Ive heard that you cant remove the tint without damaging the defrost stuff. But maybe someone else knows better.

 

nice! i like how the "cobalt"is positioned on the trunk.

 

According to the GM reps, they say that the new disc/drum combo installed on the Cobalts stop quicker than with 4 wheel disc.

 

you can take your tint off by yourself, but its a fairly time consuming procedure. i took the tint of my cavalier when i sold it for my ss s/c. the easiest way i found to remove tint was to buy a wallpaper steamer from home depot, and steam the hell out of it. the rear window with the defroster was actually the easiest to take off. on that one, you can steam the top of the tint for a while to get it started, then let that drape down and form a steam tent. the rest of the rear will come off much easier after its steamed for a long time (i think it took about 30-50 minutes to remove the rear film alone). if steamed long enough, all the film will come off together nicely. if not, the top layer will come off, one will remain on the window, and you'll be hating life and wondering why you decided to do it yourself instead of paying a shop 60-100 to take it off for you.

That's good to know about the wallpaper steamer! I am patient, but not that patient. I'll take your word for it and pay a shop to remove it...or maybe I'll just live with the 20% and spend the money for 5% on my next Cobalt.

 

they definitly arn't the brakes carried over from the cavalier then...
