Welcome to the site. I see you have found that toothpicks are stronger than our axles.

I did the same thing at the track. WHEEL HOP-P-P-P-P-P-P-P SNAP. kind of funny trying to explain it to the dealership that i did it just gradually pulling out at a stop light though. Oh well they bought it and replaced it under warranty.

Nice pics and vids. Did you break the axle on stock power? If you did this scares me cuz I ran the second best time stock. Going to the track this weekend and I don't want to break an axle. Hope everything works out for you man, sharp looking car.

People, don't you realize its impossible to get a good 60' time if your wheel hopping!?!? I have wheel hop retard, kinda like knock retard, as soon as i get wheel hop I let off the gas. Oddly enough I haven't broken my axles yet

ya it borke under stock power, and i know wheel hop dosnt help , but at the same time i didnt think the hop was that bad. iv never in my life driven a car that wheelhops this bad , but i still love it. on that run i let ioff alil , if i would have let off anymore i would have started to bogg ,i figuerd a the car could have taken alil hop since my old car(ford escort ZX2 on a 75 shot took worse abuse for over 2 years ...) it probly would still be taking the abuse if i wasnt rearended by some lady doing 50mph.

When I heard that axle break it made me think of the time when I broke my arm. That just hurts to hear any cracking noise like that.
