2.4 Turbo (thinking)

I have the money to fund a turbo setup, or close enough to think about one. I am aiming at ~250whp maybe a little higher. What is a good route to take? Are there any good kits that provide everything minus tune or close to everything?

should be an easy goal with only 10psi boost and stock motor. i used trifecta to tune my 2.2 turbo setup and they said they get many 2.2 turbo setups running 10 psi boost and making 270whp so with the 2.4 you should make a little bit more.

I want a good setup without the need to look into valve springs, etc etc. I mean I could do that but I don't want the hassle. Just lookin for a little extra speed on a ~$1500 budget that increases by $100-200 a month

ZZP Stage 2 Kit and grow from there. But please be sure to invest money in tires, suspension and mounts that can support that kind of power. I went ass backwards and invested a LOT of money in the mods below just so that when the time comes for Forced Induction id be completely ready for it. Now that I'm ready for it I just dont have the ******* money. Money is such a bitch sometimes.

I wouldn't bother unless you're pushing insane boost into that 2.4 of yours. Also, If 1500 is your budget you may want to look into piecing together a blower

Yeah I was just looking at ZZP Stg 2 and that seems to be the best option. But whats up with their PCM thing for $100? Does that just include a basic tune for your setup just to get you going or what? I have almost everything necessary to run boost including all that you mentioned, minus motor/tranny mounts. And I absolutely LOVE spending money on tires, seriously. Burning tires is well worth the money put into them. I know from drifting lol.

I'd also like to know what their pcm tune offers for the stage 2, is it drivable out of the box or is dyno time pretty much required to make reliable, daily driver power?

You could always do a custom kit.

the stage 2 from zzp came out to me $2760 total S&H included, i sent back the pcm that they sent me, and got core refund. s it was $2860 minus $100. of course before they didn't have the dp option so i got the "offroad" one (non cat'd).

i still need dyno tune, for perfection, but the car is running good, im just making 234whp 222trq at 7 psi, stock motor, stock exhaust. with a dyno tuned should make more.

i got some videos floating around in the 2.4 tech section.
