no ones done it. most people who add a m62 find its more than enough power. Also, a TVS would require an engine build for a 2.2, and unless you run a large pulley, it will require an engine build of the 2.4 as well. Its a costly piece for us non-LSJ cars. I will one day run a TVS though

well, i can afford it now, but if i do it, im going all out. im not just gonna buy rods n pistons and call it a day, i have $7k mapped out in performance mods, including a fully built and ported head (an aftermarket head at that). It should be fun if i ever have the cash to do it all

Lets see $1800 for Harrop and still have to buy all the supporting mods, or $1200-$1500 for everything from a guy that went Tubro...

here's my build list
BLOCK BUILD
Eagle Forged Rods $350
Weisco Forged Pistons/Rings $495
Cometic Head Gasket $95
ARP Headstuds $140
Balance Shaft Delete $225 +s/h

$1,325

HEAD BUILD
GMR Valve springs/retainers/seats $650
GMR .5mm Over Inconel Valves $395
Comp Cams Blower Camshafts $460
Ported CNC Aluminum Head $1,540 +s/h

$3,100

SUPERCHARGER PARTS
TVS 1320 Supercharger $1,750 +s/h
Dual Pass Endplate $105 +s/h

~$2,000

SUSPENSION PARTS
Eibach Front Sway Bar $180 +s/h
Steering Rack Spacers $45 +s/h

$250

EXHAUST SYSTEM
3" Catted Downpipe ~$100 +s/h
3" Catback $580 +s/h

$700

All these prices are assuming I buy new, but im sure with the 30 some TVS buys, some will change their minds or go turbo or decide its not worth it, so ill get that guy cheaper. I hope to get all of these things cheaper than i listed, but still, i listed the cheapest NEW prices

You're forgetting labor. And unless you have a crap load of tools and resources, you wont be able to do all of that yourself.

It will be hard to say till someone does it...

well, m88 got 400whp with his stuff, but had a lot of knock. im going to be running a lower CR than him, a more heavily ported head, possibly raised redline, and more displacement. i should hopefully be seeing the same numbers as him without the knock, though hopefully ill see higher (im hoping the CNC head will do a lot for the TVS guys)

neutral balance shafts are still balance shafts. theyre just neutrally weighted (hence the name) instead of the stock one that have a heavy side and a light side. the delete gets rid of them altogether
