Boost gauge for 2.2

supercharging my 2.2. i ordered the Prosport Evo boost gauge. they said it was mechanical but they emailed me and said it is electrical.
would i have any problems hooking up the electrical gauge on my 2.2 instead of a mechanical. prosport told me the mechanical and electrical gauge hooks up the same exact way. but i wanted to know if this is true and i should get it.
or if i should cancle and just buy the glowshift 7 color. zzp said to get mechanical. but if i can run electrical if it hooks up the same way i will do so.

let me know guys

if it just reads off a vacuum source then yes. if it reads it from the computer i think it will only read like 4.7 psi or something like that but don't quote me on that...

conerboner is right. The stock MAP doesn't read the pressure levels generated by the supercharger. If you change the MAP sensor it won't matter but I'd still go with the mechanical

yes you should be fine. I'm not sure where the vacuum source is on the lsj intake manifold but i know if you need more than one vacuum source you should get a small vacuum block like zrated so you don't blow it up if you're running meth

no meth for me. new zzp SC kit. just looking to run this boost gauge as i like it alot.
heathkidder has all AEM gauges. so im sure he has to of ran a silicone hose from the gauge to the mainfold.

as long as it is good to install and ill have no problems than im good to go.
and only other mechanical i like is the glowshift. and i like this prosport ALOT MORE. they have a mechanical one but it lights up amber where i want red to match the rest of my gauges

yeah i hear ya. i went with the evo. i love the design. its digital which will match my wideband and interceptor.
lights up red like i wanted. and its different than your average needle gauge.

glowshift is nice but something with it gives me the whole "cheap" view on it. idk i went with this one because it is a quality part and has gotten good review from what i have seen
