I was just wondering if anybody can help me with a question. My 09/tc with just a k&n drop in, when the bpv dumps the pressure it just has 1 air ratchet sounding dump. My friends 09/tc has a injen cai but his bpv dump is a series of futtering air ratchet sounds. No tune on either car, both stock bpv. Is the sound from the cai messing with the MAF? I'm just curious because in my opinion the flutter bpv dump sounds WAY better. Sorry if this is a noob question.

 

sounds like you're referring to known turbo flutter. could possibly be a bad bpv or pressure leak. research turbo flutter to find more possibilities.

Hey man thanks for the gentle push in the right direction, and the welcome. It does kinda sucks that the flutter is bad for the turbo I think it sounds way better like that.

Flutter is not bad for the turbo, Surge however Is. I have the VTA Forge BPV and with the yellow spring is flutters like a **** sometimes. sounds awesome, and Ive been running it for over a year with no issues. I checked for shaft play last oil change and there was none and my car hits 26 psi no problem.
