building intake for turbo setup

i dont currently have anything on my turbo and id like to change that to prevent any issues. being that there's not much space i was gonna just throw a 3" filter and coupler on it and call it a day. but i was looking at pics and saw some that the zzp setups use..

it almost looks like they use the flexible piping and put a filter on the end so that u can maneuver the small space. i went by autozone lol and found some there. i squeezed it and the stuff seems pretty solid. anyone have any issues with this stuff or even used it before???

heres a pic of my bay for reference so u can see why im considering the flexible stuff so i can maneuver it next to the hotside piping.

im gonna stick it over by the hotside and call it a day. idk. i see it as a good option. any objections?
