Deciding to supercharge instead of turbo

After a very long and intense internal debate, I have decided to supercharge instead of turbocharge. supercharging is cheaper and for my driving habits, I don't need huge power, i just want something faster than 8.7sec 0-60 lol. bash if you must but i plan to have this car for a long long time. I will be making a build thread soon once the parts come in

turbo is just as reliable as a supercharger. you dont need to make big power by going turbo. you can keep the boost at 10psi or less and still make more power than the supercharger. i would re-think your decision.... your going to regret it........

how so? for commuting purposes id rather have a blower because im either spinning or speeding to enjoy full boost in my car, and i didnt have to worry about that when i had a supercharger, and i do miss the sound so much

I do like the sound of a turbo blow off but the whine is much more appealing to me

there ya go. less stress more power for pound of boost. better exhaust note then supercharged. plus if your going to run a almost stock or bigger pulley on your s/c then you might aswell not be getting a s/c just for hearing the whine

my performance goals are just to have more than 200whp. and i do not want to build a kit since that takes a lot of time and frustration. since a supercharger kit is cheaper and can reach my goal, then i will go for that instead.

supercharger you can just cruise with light throttle variations, turbo when you cruise you build turbo boost if you vary too much, spool, BOV action, compressor surge, slow down, restart. I like the s/c > t/c but it's just for my driving habits.

it is pretty easy to jump on the turbo bandwagon when you can do so much more with a turbo set up

At the parasitic loss of power through pulleys.
