Soon to be Cobalt owner

Hey guys, I am in the process of buying a 2006 Cobalt SS/SC and am interested in bringing it to between 300-350hp. From what I have read in the forums, I am going to do a Turbo swap and take out the supercharger. Other than that what should I do to get it above 300hp. And any specific types of turbo kits or anything else would be appreciated. Thanks

Yea there are alot of posts about people doing this to their LSJs. I guess it depends on what price your picking up the LSJ for but seems to me it would just be easier, possibly cheaper, and better in the long run to grab an LNF

U can either do a turbo kit or get a tvs swap with supporting mods, both are good if u live near a e85 station then id get the tvs and get tuned for e85 the power and powerband would be amazing. If ur stuck on just 93 and dont wanna mess with meth then turbo swap prolly better choice but both can make 300-350 just depends on the setup.

It's an 06 with 46K on it and im getting it for $7K so i'm getting a good deal on it. I think i'd be cheaper to get a supercharged. I cant find any already turbo'ed ones for under 14k. I've been looking at the zzp turbo for it and I like it. It's a little expensive, do you guys know any cheaper ones that are good or should I just get the zzp?

ZZP ftw

..just make sure its healthy enough to take the boost ...i would do your timing AND TENSIONER and new rod bearings .....and pull the head ...get some neutral shafts and some new valve springs and check those lash adjusters
