Stock SC vs Ported SC
We went down to a local dyno shop in Burbank, CA yesterday to see what a stock sc vs a ported sc will do. The car used for the test was my friends 04 Saturn Ion Redline. Mod's are a 2.7 pulley, 60 lb inj, Cobra HE and magnaflow exhaust. 1st pull was 275whp 2nd was 270whp (heat soak) the 3rd pull was our last and with the ported sc 282.8whp. We will be going back to the dyno and renting it so we can have more time to tune and really push it with the ported sc. The iat2 did go down 13 deg but we have seen them go down as much as 18 deg when I had my Cobalt. And if I remember correctly Blown 4-banger saw about the same drop in his iat2 when he ported his. You can also see how much more torque it picked up in the midrange.

About that because the guy dynoing the car got out of it to talk to the owner of the car. The swap was about 10 minutes
Take a look at my gallery for the pics

I would've guessed my Stiegemeier to have gained 10-15 whp by the butt dyno but we know how worthless that is. I haven't been back to the track since.

I know what you are saying. When I ported the SC on my old Cobalt I felt a differance in the butt dyno but it is so hard to prove that with out some type of numbers.
