custom kits have custom problems

try ebay
but buy your turbo itself from someone you trust

you'll prolly have a 1000 questions and since you can't even answer what turbo i'd do some more research before you start asking questions.

Figure out your power goals. Then plot out a compressor map to see that it doesn't hit the surge line and that it's in the effieceny range of the turbo.

do this
find the turbo 2.4's
then click on their profile and look for all of the threads they have started
one of them might have a list of all of the parts they used

I would stick with Garrett for a turbo, or maybe Turbonetics I think the name is?

And if you have the extra money to spend looking into ceramic ball bearing turbos.

LOL we want real mans power....if anything I would charge it but he wants to boost it so his choice.

The M62 would be much easier, hotter but cooling mods will take care of it.

If you have to ask simple questions like what kind of turbo should i look at, etc....do NOT build your own kit. This isn't baking a cake. Spend the extra money, get a premade kit. If you have no experience with forced induction you are going to be sitting there scratching your head when you'er having boost leaks or other problems with nobody to turn to. Buy from a reliable shop so you have someone to call and help you out when you have problems. It will be worth the extra cash in the long run. Go custom next time or on a car that isn't your daily driver. Good luck with whatever you do, but think long and hard about this.
