turbo cooling ??s

so i was looking around in my garage and found some stuff i had forgotten about.. and was thinking

instead of running my oil lines off my engine to my turbo would it be better to use a oil cooler and a small fan with a remote pump and tank???

and what about using a remote pump and tank for the coolant lines too??

my thoughts on this would be your turbo would run cooler becouse you only have to cool the turbo and not the hole engine... like use a air to water intercooler and you could set it up so that when the engine is off both pumps would stay running " kinda like a turbo timer but without the heat.. and without the engine needing to run...

these are not vehicle specific and could be used on any car-truck whatever.. i know some will say the weight off the extra parts and placement would be hard to way out...

but this is just some brain storming on my part "thinking out side the box" besides it would be easier on are cooling systems, oil pumps and so on besides i would think that the seals and bearings would last longer meaning are turbo life would increase...

these are just ideas.. but what do yall think.. pro's-cons... yellowshowbalt...

i think its too much work, plus in the winter, don't know how cold it gets there, that the oil may be to thick and not lub the turbo well enough and could cause failure.

^^ possible, but probably not worth it, You'd probably also need a pretty good flowing pump, and the addition of a second (albeit smaller) oil pan or reservoir may make it not worth is since its a weight gain.

no need for s standaloe oil system for the turbo, you could run the oil feed to a cooler infront of the car, and than from thecolor to the turbo, that would be nice, and yes the cas can push the oil that far, just make sure to add a bit more oil when u do a oil change

iv given it some thought, along with adding a heat exchanger to a LS but thats anothr story, and something i wont work on till after im done with my current situation..point being heater core hoses, one of them supplies water for hahns turbo kit, just like you tap it for water for the turbo you can tap it, run it to ta pump and than to the exchanger, than back to the resevoir... dont know how beneficial it will asside from just adding more water into the system...i guess it woudl take longer to cool down
