Turbo information

So, I've been wanting to turbo my cobalt for a while now (L61). I have a mitsubishi 16g turbo already, which will meet my power goals. I dont want or need crazy HP numbers, just something to give it a little extra push and i think this turbo will do. I have had trouble finding a manifold that will fit the 16g though (DSM flange). I know vulcan makes one but their pirce is a little steep, seeing as how im in school and all. I see that the t3 flanges are common on a lot manifolds used for turboing a cobalt. I know the exhaust housing on a DSM 16g can be swapped out to a T3 flanged exhaust housing. The problem I'm having is that I have no idea which exhaust housing to order so I know it's the correct size and will fit.

Honestly, sell the one you have because you're just going to have more issues matching up everything. Even if yo found an adapter flange, thats more space you're taking up behind your engine and it may be too much...could easily come in contact with your firewall by time you mount it. ALWAYS keep that in mind.

I've been doing some research, and I can just buy the hotside of the turbo with a T3 flange, but I don't know which size exhaust housing to get.

I have never heard of this personally. The turbine heatshield would have to be identical to work as well as the turbine wheel inducer and exducer. I doubt this would work.
