Turbo Piping
Turbo Piping
iam lookin to maybe start a turbo setup for my car. I was on ttr, and wondering for the piping could I buy the hahn piping system for the non factory turbo cobalt considering i have a 2.2?
If yo mount everything above, just as in the one they use it on, then it will be a direct fitment, providing again you use the same diameter items...
Go to barnes and noble, or your favorite book store and pick up this book:
Maximum Boost: Designing, Testing, and installing Turbocharger Systems
by Corky Bell
It will tell you practically everything you need to know about turbos and intercoolers and what sizes to look for in everything...
as far as Piping is concerned, either piece together a "universal kit" based on your intercooler choose...or goto a performance shop and have them fab you one
Remember....thicker core is not always better, neither is a longer intercooler, best look for one that has vertical fins as opposed to horizontal fins....they can fit more in vertically than horizontally and that increases efficiency without sacrificing much pressure loss, HOWEVER if you go TOO Thick of a core, of course it will cool the air better, but you will be losing alot of boost pressure in the process.....
buy my 2.2 garrett turbo kit and you wont have to worry
