Turbo to Twincharge. Questions
A local shop here, SMG motoring, has done a few twin charged cobalts. The setup they use mounts the turbo remotly where the muffler sits and charge piping is run up under the car. This setup produces nice power with virtually no lag.
But, there are efficiancy problems with the stock intake manifold and raming the air through the SC. That keeps the twin charge car from never being as powerfull as a turbo alone car. But, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. What if you ran a very small turbo remotely, like a k04, and kept a big turbo running off the maifold to make a twin turbo car. You would see very little lag and keep the high end power and efficiancy of a big turbo.
I believe a customer of his with a GT35r sky is planning such a build right now. It's something to think about.

Just get the supercharger parts together and have him walk you through the stuff you dont understand. He seems like he would like to help, if he has time. I will be doing mine within a month if I get my idle corrected. I can help then if not already done.
Hungy:
Do I see a manual boost controller for the SC?

I'll hold off on selling the rest tho if I know someone could help me with the bypass setup.

ok 3.25 pulley showed up (unfortunately thats the biggest sfphq stocks) it completely eleminated my over boosting before the ecm can open the by-pass valve. now it just creeps boost like it used to cause the damn .55 a/r so im still seeing as much as 24psi up top but much better than maxxing my gauge at 29.5 (who knows how high it really was i wasnt logging)
so things are comming along greatt, now granted i havent been able to sucessfully run a 1-3 or 1-4 pull but iat2's look very promising and well under control and i am on stock h/e and cooling system.
so once that super duper laggy .70 a/r shows up i think ill be golden.
who ever caught the pressure regulator in my pic, honestly i looked a lindsey's car and ever picture i could find of twincharge set-up the answers lie within.
but if you wanna pm me i'll hook you up. im not always on here but im always thinking about or working on my beast trying to make it something special lol...

Yea lol. Thats awesome this may be a route i go. I would guess you dont have the whine anymore but that good torque down low still there.
Yea thats what i was thinking cause if you cant hear it stock throught that air box your not going hear it through all that piping and turbo.
I would love to go this route but do not or can not spend the money to do it now. I got to keep up some lawyer money etc.
I just got my balt back my wife soon to be ex has had it for the last year when she left. I just got it back couple weeks ago sucks cause i spent alot of time putting it back to stock cause i thought she was going to keep it and put it over in her name and pay for it. But she doesnt take care of stuff anyway if I had left it she tore it up the CF pieces and all.
