Thanks bro.

I made a link in my article to how to install it, here is the link to "JMC007" thread on the boost controller. https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2-0l-lsj-performance-tech-47/manual-boost-controller-mbc-cobalt-ss-13382/

damnit dude I love your posts. I especially love your train of thought and the fact that you give reasons to each modification to justify everything. I too wondered why you went small if your just going to go large in another month but I see how it can be highly beneficial to your learning knowledge of how to maximize the cars potential safely.

I agree, I think there is more power to be found in the exhaust and tuning as well. I would shoot for making big HP with stock boost pressures, THEN add 5+psi. I think the only reason people aren't making incredibly fast cars with 20psi is because the blower is nearly maxed out.

Personally I would like to see someone make peak torque (somewhere around 260ft/lbs) in the upper end of the powerband, say..6000RPMs with a 7000RPM rev limit. I think this would net the fastest times because you can take advantage of the gearing reduction in the tranny. But of course, if you had this much torque, in that part of the powerband would mean you have right at 290-300hp, which is pretty hard to do on that blower setup.

Nice post Denny. You explain things so well. And I agree with the other guy, it's about a learning experience for the greater and more complicated mods in the future.

ZZP= Pimp.... Also with the lowering springs, do you get any of the "POGO" effect. Also, how much harsher is the ride with those springs.

so with this boost controller could i run a 2.8 on a stock engine and just limit the boost to like 14 psi and still be safe... the only reason i ask is because i already have the 2.8 and am still undecided about what injectors and pcm to get.

yes you could, but you would be taxing the engine more by spining the S/C faster. You would end up netting less power to the wheels. Also 12psi is the factory setting

i kno 12 psi is the factory setting but ppl run a 3.0 no problem and they are hitting like 15 so i thought this would be somthing that i could do while i decide on my injectors and tune

The MAF Sensor does lie in a 3" pipe stock! Don't really understand why you're asking because the MAF-T he probably has is set up for the LSJ...
