Georgian Bay Motorsports Cobalt takes another 1st Place
<img src="http://www.cobaltss.org/pix/grandamcobalt-icon.jpg" align="left" border="0" hspace="5" vspace="5">The #00 Georgian Bay Motorsports Cobalt SS/SC edged out the SpeedSource Mazda RX8 for another win this weekend at Mosport International Raceway. From what I have read it appears the RX8 and the Cobalt SS/SC duked it out up until the last laps of the race and the Cobalt just took the checkered flag.

actually your are wrong the suspension knuckles are not from the G6, they are stock
The knuckles are G6 but the wheel bearings are 1999- 2001 Grand AM 115mm x 5 bolt pattern. Needed these wheel bearing speed sensors to work with the 2006 ABS system. Enchi wheels purchased from discount tire direct. They were US bolt bat tern as I remember 5 9/16 but closet to 115mm.
The Turbo SS knuckles are close to the G6 and the wheel bearings and axle shafts were upgraded from the race program. Note the ball joint is .020in larger on the turbo knuckle so if you wanted to upgrade to the turbo system you would have to also install the lower control arm or ball joints from the turbo.
the grand am enkei wheels RF1 were 5 x 114.3 or 4.5 inches nominal which is the same as the grand am wheel bearing. The ball joint post is 19. mm nominal on the LSJ and 20.0 mm nominal on the LNF so its just a question of opening up the LSJ knuckle to fit LNF arms, or retorquing to factory spec to fit LNF knuckles to LSJ arms.( 37 ft lbs reverse 3/4 turn 37 ftlbs again + 30 degrees.) The G6 knuckles install either way on the arms, the grand am wheel bearing needs a spacer in addition to the stock spacer to center the caliper on the rotor, be it Brembo caliper or LSJ caliper, the spacing is different for each of these two calipers when upgrading the LSJ to use LNF axles.
