Dragway 42 will be hosting BOTH the Show N' Shine AND track rental

Itinerary is as follows....

Friday July 27, 2007

3:00pm - Hotel check-in begins

4:00pm - Gates open at Dragway 42 for Show n Shine entrance/registration. Admission will be $5...regardless of registration

5:30pm - Test N Tune begins. For those interested in gettin some practice runs against the locals, test n tune is only an additional $5. So total of $10 to get in AND race friday night

I'm trying to have a sound competition, will find out tomorrow if the guy can bring his equipment out and set somethin up for us. Everything else is 100% written in stone though.

9:00pm - optional cruise-in with the locals...cruising in packs of 30+ is tons of fun Place being used will be Park Ave "The Miracle Mile" known all over Ohio as the premier spot to go cruise in your hot new ride. (sounds good right?)

WARNING: Sometimes cops are thick...sometime they don't show up. Either way, they don't put up with street racing...do so at your own risk. Just remember we'll be comin back next year...lets make sure we have a good rep so when we come back next year we'll still be welcome.

9:00AM - Gates open at Dragway 42 and runs can begin. The track is ours privately until 2pm. Quick 8 qualifying will begin from the 1st run, and will continue likely until
12:30-1pm. At which time we will call cars by number to the staging lanes to stage for the Quick 8 runs

2:30pm - Trophy presentation


Hotel lot behavior: I do not know how well the balance between us, and Mid Ohio racers/spectators is going to balance out. They may complain a ton...they may come party with us lol. So...just try to be courteous to the other hotel guests as we are NOT the majority at this hotel.

 

I am already Paid and Registered. Do I still have to pay all the extra Admission Charges? Do I need to sign in and get a wrist band or what, if so where at?

 

You'll have to talk to Paul the organizer when you get there. Just for clarity, I am in no way associated with the organizing of this event.

 

can i just show up and throw down a couple of runs maybe 1 to show some of the guys it should be still what 25 to get in.

Yep. Whew I'm tired.

I was categorized in "Wild" and got 1st.

 

yeah wonder what that was lol. coolness though yeah i ran pj and were neck and neck all the way but i lost by like a tenth and i beat him out the hole my .09 to his .34 or something. was a great race. creds to him. and i placed third got a little trophy woohoo. very good turn out guys im whooped to lol. im just now eating food.

ryan. yeah erod we raced those 2 times i could not believe i could beat a sc all down the track till about the end. and stage 2 i was shittin my pants. but good race though.

 

Congrats EROD, I got 1st Place Mild Cobalts were represented What were your times?
The best I could do 14.54 with a suckass reaction time, over 1/2 second and a Trunk full of ****. It was a BLAST!!!!!!!

 

Yes yes yes, in my defense, some stuff in trunk, 19"s, and not being to a drag strip in two years, I suck. :P

Im kinda disappointed in the cobalt crowd I really thought there would be alot of new guys out seemed like it was just jbo ppl that happened to have a delta now

Better numbers will show up for this event next year hopefully

yup i agree 14's or bust on the 2.4 im right at 15.005 2 times.

so turbo or twinscrew should bump me right into the low 14's maybe high 13's dont know yet any faster is about fast enough for alittle economy car.

Hahn turbo should be easy 13s on a 2.4
