Well this may just help me decide on my next sport compact...I was really hoping for a Cruze SS coupe. But from the sounds of things we'll never see one.
So...I guess I'll start really keeping an eye on the upcoming Focus RS.

rumor has it, the rs will come to north america with the next ms3.
some of you are acting like union workers.
"you can either have lower pay for 3 years or no pay in 15 years when we lay you off"
NO LOWER PAY!
either accept that gm wont be building a bunch of performance cars for the next few years, or don't have any at all in the future.

**** GM, i'd rather buy a Ford Mustang if i can't have a promise of high performance cars in the future from GM..
****, might as well go buy a GTI instead.

I have no interest in any other vehicles that GM makes and this means I'll now be moving onto a different manufacturer...I have a really good feeling I'm not alone.
I hardly give a rats about GM now...****'em.

I think these hot performance cars have been the only thing really keeping GM in the magazines and eyes of automotive enthusiast...

Ford and gm know it. Ford's bringing over the fiesta, which is an awesome value and keeping the focus nice and fresh along with their other major sellers. ford just has a little more money to play around with the mustang and what not right now. You can bet any company going downhill like this will focus on the major sellers. It's not the car enthusiasts gm has to appeal to, it's the average consumer.

Most car buyers don't care about performance. They just want a car that goes point a to b.

i saw a '10 at Brandy's, a restaurant in my area back home. had manufacturer plates and i have no idea why it was there, but if someone wants to pm me next weekend i'll be home and i took pics. the interior is 100x better. It looks like toyota quality at least.
