Unhappy Crappy Gas Mileage

So since the beginning of March my car has been getting very bad gas mileage. I typically got 32 mpg. Now I'm getting about 25-26. Nothing has changed as far as the way I'm driving it. I have changed my oil and air filter to no avail. My car has 70,000 miles on it so I shouldn't have to change the spark plugs yet right? To give you a little more info on my car.... It's a 06 LT and its been lowered on Eibach springs since 07. Not sure if any of this matters but in case it does.

Any ideas on what could be wrong?

Just because they say plug life is 100K miles, doesn't mean you will actually ge that. Typically they should be changed at about 50K, so I would see about changing them. If the fuel filter has never been changed I would DEFINITELY look into changing that as well.

The spark plug change is next. Hopefully that will fix the problem. Oh and the oil filter gets changed every time

Thanks for the help.

I'm having the same issue with my '07 SS. It is rated at about 30-34 hiway and like 26-30 in town, I'm lucky to get 21-23 on the hiway. I have tried everything as well and still can't get it right. Doesn't help either that 4 months after getting it, the Chevy dealer I bought it from in Richlands, NC closed their doors down cause GM put out a supposed hit list.
