E3 Sparkplugs
I was on the internet the one day and came across a video of the new E3 sparkplugs. has anyone tried them, and If you have how would you gap them or you just put them in and go?

Do not put them in your car.
Your engine is not designed for that kind of plug, and your performance and fuel economy will probably drop if anything. Stick with factory AC Delco Iridium plugs for best performance and reliability.
I'd only reccommend E3's for small engines (lawn mowers, weed wackers, ect) because they decrease the risk of fouling and allow for quicker starts. Those engines are simple and won't be affected by different spark plug designs the way a sophisticated car engine will be.

NGK's are best for our cars.
Fyi, the stock plugs that come in the SS/SC are NGK's. They are made by NGK for AC Delco. They are NGK IFR6V-10G Laser Iridium Plugs. Although, some of the earlier SS/SC models came with platnium plugs from the factory.

I've got a May 05 production model, mine were NGK Iridiums.

Interesting to know. There was one car for sure that I've seen from the very first run of SS's (March 05), but it came with Iridiums too. Must have run into a shortage of them at some point and substituted platinums.

I only had 19 k last month when I bought my car added NGK 1 step colder iridium plus and got about a 2mpg difference. I also run NGK's in my cammed LS1 and work great there as well. NGK just makes a good plug for the money.
