with an intake and full exhaust you can expect a lil more power, I'd say somewhere around 10-12 HP. As for MPG, thats kinda questionable. My buddy with an rsx type s likes to get on his car, because he likes to hear the intake suck air when he gets in the vtec range. If you drive like that, then no your MPG will go down, but if drive it the same as you always have, then you might see an increase.

Best way to gain MPG is being nice to the car, increasing timing on cruising.

Best way to gain Power. Do intake, header, and exhaust.
Then start data logging the VVT to see what kind of airflow gains you can make out of it.

I'd bet a good VVT optimized with Intake/Header/Exhaust could make 200whp.

AND STILL GET 26+mpg

If your talking exhaust. When I had my 04 cavalier with the 2.2 ecotec I had custom exhaust made with all new 2.5" back from the cat,a high flow 18" straight through resonator and the aeroturbine 2540i for the muffler / tip and it sounded deep and nice. After changing to that I noticed a 3-4 MPG increase on the highway and like 1-2 in town. I regularly hit 36-38 MPG highway and that asriving a steady at-75-80mph.
