Shell Gas and Nitrogen

Hello

Shell started this Nitrogen "Enrichment" Thing
At first I thought it was bullshit, more like
Nitrogen Dilution. Nitrogen after all makeing up
78% of the air in the earth's atmosphere, thus
78% of what goes in my intake is Nitrogen gas.
So for a few months I advoided shell, and got Cheveron
instad. Until my dad told me that my brother said
the Nitrogen thing is a GOOD Idea. So if my brother
who is alot smarter then me, and has a great understanding
of Mechanic, Quantom Mechanics, Physics, and Chemestry
said its a good idea, then I started to use Shell again.
I havn't noticed any improvments, but to preform a scientiffy
test to varify their claim, it would be epensive!

Ill have to ask him what he thinks...
But what do you guys think

Shell Gasoline,
Nitrogen Enrichment? (Good)
Nitrogen Dillution (Money Scam)

I normally only use shell. That is my top tier of choice, because I was told once upon a time they use less foreign oil than anyone else. Weather they still do I am not sure and that is the habit that I have gotten myself into.

A lot of people like Shell, what i think is funny is a LOT of gas stations all use the same suppliers (yes i know there are some that have a "vertical monopoly" and use their own mining/upgrading/refining sites).

My 2 cents, there's probably some sort of benefit, but its most likely just a marketing campagin

I only use V-power in my car. I have had it for almost 2 months and have yet to put anything but shell 93 in it. Nothing specific as to why thats just what I do.

Gasoline is a great solvent and cleaner on its own. Any thing you add to it is just marketing.

N2 is just a inert gas.. Good for purging piping and keeping stuff from getting contanimated.. Not a cleaner.. But sure is fun in liquid form lol ... I think it is bs I just use a Lucas fuel cleaner every oil change.. I just use a good well used gas station so i know it has fresh gas..

You incorrectly wrote chemestry, it's chemistry. Although you did manage to create a post in poetic format. Also last I checked you cannot dilute an octane level and still keep it at the same rating.

The additional additives in Top Tier gas is alot more than just marketing. It makes a big differance in keeping the fuel system clean and deposit build up to a minimum.

not anymore.

I worked for an international relocation company last year. Shell is the NUMBER 1 imported of Oil for gas from UAE (united arab emerites (sp))

suprisingly the only gas station that has a decent name to it that doesnt import from the middle east is BP (Arco)

But I love Shell Gas. hahaha

I was looking around and shell buys 205,742,000 barrels from the middle east alone! Thats more than anyone else. I think I am going to look for a Conoco or BP/Phillips 66. They use 0, and for those lucky enough to live by a Sunoco they use 0 aswell.

Sorry, getting off topic.
