I'm not sure actually.

It actually isn't that bad if you grandma it around and keep it out of boost.

However, full boost and e85 will drain you quite fast.

This. I'm running a 50/50 blend (E47) and haven't noticed much drop in mileage just on my daily commute. But when it gets spirited...you can almost watch the needle drop

PS. OP, please tell me you are not going to just throw E85 in your car without a tune

Actually yes, but just 50/50, to save some cash. You can run full e85 in a Stock car, however when your tuned and bolted it has proven that you need a specific E tune. I will be minor bolted and hp tuned for 50/50 soon.

I was just wondering what kind of mileage people are getting. I know full e should be alot less. just wondering how much.

Full E or even 50/50 should not be possible without a retune. The fuel demand at WOT with E is substantially more than 93...you'll run crazy lean.

Well after doing a little bit of research i found that e85 is about .80 less than premium in kansas in general. I know from calculating it out here in MI that it costs less to run premium(its 1$ a gal cheaper here). In order for e85 to be cheaper the price of it has to be approximately 33% less than premium. which if gas was at 4$, e85 would have to be at 2.88 to compensate for using more. However since your getting tuned keeping it out of boost becomes a lot harder. As for running 50/50, cost to fill up with gas vs the mix is 52est. vs 46.8est respectively. Lots of variables in there tho.

I'm waiting for Vince to experiment a little more before I try an e85 tune. I hope that happens before it gets to hot here. As far as running it on a bone stock cobalt with no tune, I wouldn't recommend that at all. There are to many variables when playing with this stuff that our stock computer cannot compensate for. I think your money would be wasted.

Vince has more experience with E85 on LNF's than anyone on here. What are you waiting for?

Exactly that's why I want to wait a little longer, that's not very much time. up until a couple months ago people were running mix tunes. Im not debating the fact it can be done, I just want to wait until the absolute most is pulled out of the tune.
