'05 Cobalt in driveway

my wife just bought an '05 cobalt ls sport sedan in Arrival Blue. i got to say that it rides beautifully. the interior is well above par and the 2.2L is sooo much quiter than my '02 cavalier LS sport. she got the full sport package with: white face guages, 16" wheels, chrome tip, fog lights, 7-speaker Pioneer system and spoiler. Overall, i am very happy. Now I can get rid of my Sentra Spec V (4-door) and buy a Cobalt SS/SC!!

That would be cool to have two cobalts, lol. The LS and SS. How is the arrival blue? I haven't seen it in person, but from pictures it looks too blue. I'm wondering if it's just the flash off of the cameras. I really liked the blue on my cousins RSX-S, so if it's anything like that ill go for blue.

selling price for hers was $18,500. and we got it to $15,500. Then we traded in her '98 ZR2 and got $7,000 for that. so it only costed us $8,500 + tax, tag, title, license, and 90,000 mile warranty.

we got the LS and then added:
Sport Package
White guages (140mph speedo)
16" wheels
Automatic
7-speaker Pioneer System.

she didn't want the MP3 player, xm, on star, or leather

Id say that the blue is quite close to the blue that acura uses on the RSX. It really looks awesome in blue in person, pictures don't do it justice.

You have to remember to add about $4000 to the price of a car for taxes and various other charges. The SS/SC also uses up more gas, is manual only, is less practical than her sedan, and has a significantly higher insurance cost.

Hey Raven, I ordered the exact same car as your wife except I got the coupe (and that white-faced gauges aren't available here). Agree that Arrival Blue is stunning in person. Late model Cavaliers are also available in this colour if you ever notice them on the road.

i guess the gauges are same color as the SS/SC. it's pretty cool, the speedo goes to 140mph (i know it won't do that, but it looks cool non the less)

Hope it could do 140. The last Astra coupe 2.0 turbo 170bhp was the cheapest car in the world to do over 150 mph(it can top 152). Malibu's cousin in europe vectra 3.2 V6 top 154mph. I thought max speed was something the cobalt would excel at, can't believe it can't even reach 140.

I'm worried, because even the 3.9 240 bhp malibu SS only has 140 mph speedmeter. While it's german cousin with 220 ps does 154.

The arrival blue is the same color that are on the newer Cavaliers and I think even some Neons. What year RSX-S does your cousin have? I know in 2004 it was a different shade than the Arrival Blue. The RSX was more metallic and a shade lighter if I remember correctly. I was looking at one of these summer 2004 and was disappointed because I had to go with the shade that was closer to the Arrival Blue for the 2005 RSX-S's.

Nope. Just the standard white lettering on black background found on the US base and LS non-sports pkg. models.
