i read a short article in my friends most recent I believe hot rod mags and it said that GM's 08 Cobalt SS will no longer sport the Supercharger but will instead sport a Turbocharger. has anyone else heard more on this?

there are threads all over the site about this topic. It is not definite yet, and everything is still rumors. I would like to see a turbo cobalt, I would also like to see an AWD cobalt. I guess we will have to wait until 2008 to find out.

still debating on whether or not to trade in the sc for a tc if it does happen

 

supposedly supposed to have 260hp and possibly cost more than what the s/c version is at now, and there have also been rumors that the HHR will be turboed along with it

this seems a very possible choice for GM as if they turbo it they might as well do AWD to comepete with the evo to an extent, but from what i've been hearing the evo x will be over 300hp and cost more than the IX, so that puts it on another level...

 

I wish they had AWD. If they came out with an Turboed AWD Cobalt I'd buy it.

 

HHR is confirmed ive seen pics of it and it looks like a ugly beast *puke*

im not sure if they'll do it to the cobalt. as much as id like to see it, they would certainly be looking at killing their 07 sales for people who would hold off for the 08 tc's.

yeh sorry. im in the military and have been gone for about a month in a half. i just got back and im trying to catchup on the news. i was thinking about giving my Cobalt LS to my girlfriend and buying an Evo or STI but this new rumored 08 cobalt has me hooked right now. i want to see what they plan on doing.
