it all depends on elevation and ambient temperatures.
the cobalt ss is a 14.5 car. However, maybe canadians cant drive as good as US'ers so w/ driver are running high 14's low 15's lol.
man im gonna get it.

I've only heard of one SS N/A 2.4L doing a 14.9.........EVER. Most of the time, stock they're mid 15's.
Elevation is the distance the track is from sea level. For example, there are some tracks in the US (and Canada for that matter) with almost 0 ft. elevation. These tracks will almost always yield the best 1/4 mile times because the air is much denser. Take a 1/4 mile track from Calgary, Alberta and their elevation is really high.......somwhere around 2500 ft I believe. They will always run slower times, and there's nothing they can do about it.

My tracks actual altitude is 4500, corrected = 7000+. The best I've seen a SS/SC do here is a 14.9 w/ lighter wheels, cai, and muffler....but he fried his clutch too. Next to that is me at 15.1. I have yet to see a SS/NA coupe 5-speed run, but My wife's SS/NA 5-speed sedan runs 16.7 to 16.8. I have another friend who runs a SS/NA coupe with auto trans and shift plus that has run 16.1-16.4. As you can see, altitude plays a major factor in 1/4 times.
