1000hp cobalt sc/ss?

i talked to my local Chevry dealer and he said if i take this car to GM they can mod it to 1000+ hp with still a 4 cylinder engine. Is this true?

I don't think GM is going to mod your Cobalt to 1000HP. ANd it wont be street legal, drag car only, probably running on an insanely high octane. And it wont be supercharged anymore, but turbo.

well 1000 hp wouldnt be streetable so you would have to be looking for a drag only car at that point but a good 400 whp may be streetable to do

You'd spend less money by shoehorning a LS1 with a huge turbo into your car. And you'd still have 1000hp.

Ofcourse, it would be even cheaper by just buying a Fbody and then getting a turbo to reach the 1000hp mark.

There is a 1000hp Drag Cobalt. And like eveyone else said it would most definately not be street legal. These Ecotec engine's are definately making a name for themselves

isnt that what there trying to do on NAPI( or is it NAPA) racing with there cobalts( as seen on speedtv) its a big deal for them concedering its still a 4 cylinder with high HP. then again, they only drag there.

I bet you could make a 600HP supercharged street legal Cobalt SS SC. You just would need to replace your tires everytime you filled the tank .
