You are correct but GM was selling to "Everyone" From Grannys that need Food to Kids that want Cheap and Fast... So There is why the car is so Quiet, Why The Stock suspension is so High, Why The Stock Suspension is like Driving on Marshmellows..

You see, Universal Driveability SELLS CARS... GM is in the "Selling Cars" thing...

If granny took the car and stalled three times due to the tall first gear ratio or the clutch burns out in 10,000 Km because some 16 year old rides the clutch just to get moving... then GM would have made you happy but would have had trouble selling the next batch to allthe others..

Drop down to some 205/50/16's in the front. Got rid of all my hop. They spin but you can clutch play contol it. Also its a lot easier to get the car moving smoothly.
