Even after a whopping 63% said I shouldn’t. I said **** it was 80 bucks. After they did it I was amazed acceleration was much smoother. And the car seems a little faster.

its all in your mind... Engine flushes are pointless, they cause more engine wear and if you run Synthetic you already have all the detergents you need to keep the engine clean....

You just spent $80 to have someone put Kerosene in your oil and put more wear on your engine than you have probably done in 10,000km. The light mineral oil they speak of is just that... kerosene...

I had Goodyear do a flush on my old S-10. It had 100K miles on it. About a month later it threw a crank bearing.
I took it to my Uncle to rebuild and he told me flushes are bad, particularlly for older engines. It drains the oil and passes a solvent through to clean sludge etc. The issue is it also cleans grease out of the bearings, and the nice gooey stuff holding your engine together.

On an newer car I don't think you should need a flush unless you had contamination in your oil.
