2 Important Questions Need Help Please!

I dont know what to do im gettin a cobalt on monday i cant afford to buy a new 1 and pay insurance cause im gonna be startin college in september so i have 2 choices and need help choosin. I can buy an 06 cobalt ss/sc wit sunroof and speaker system (1 Thousand $ in extras) with 8130 miles on it at the chevy dealership on display for about 18500-18K and the monthly payments for the car would be $316.43 a month for 4 years or should i loan the car for $255.84 a month for 4 years with a maximum of 15K miles a year. Now the 2nd question is that iwanna be able to make my car faster and better if i lease the car would i be able to put a stage II kit in the car and have it installed by a gm dealership or would that be against the regulations for the lease. I never done a loan but i do wanna add kits and exhaust (the whole nine yards). overall if i buy the car used i will be spending about $2,900 more a year but i get to keep the car. The car does have normal wear and tear and minimal exterior damage but i dont know if the car was abused or broken in properly. I jus wanna know ur guys opinion and i only have about 2 days befor i sign my money away so i wanna pick the right choice. Thanx alot

i personally would never lease a car. if you want to mod it, i would pay to own it rather than pay to borrow it. and it sounds like you're thinking about doing the gm smart buy. I would do that if it saves you money. at the end of the deal you get the option to keep or resell the car. do whatever saves you money. also, student loans can benefit you as well. and you dont have to pay them back til you're out of school
