Damn man... Is the SS worth less now than you owe? Did your company compensate you for all those miles you were driving?

no. they dont allow you to. it was like 2100$ for their 6 month policy. so i figured, i was under 25 and thats about how much id pay for my own 6 month policy so i left it alone. it increased my payments by 40$ a month and after 6 year loan that 2100 is just about doubled. so it was a bad move on my part. SO, now instead of owing 3-4k on my cobalt...i owe 7k and screwed with it

CPI is almost always more than it would cost to insure on your own...definitely bad in retrospect, but at least now you know.

I was 25 when I bought my ss/sc, and insurance for me was about 130/mo. Clean driving record, bad credit.

Now that I'm married, have better credit and a house, insurance for my ss/tc and woman's car is just under 100/mo. And that's with an accident and a speeding ticket!

Im jealous. I just recently found insurance for 138 (AAA) and that is with one moving violation. Thats for my 2.2 I was paying right around 200 but shopped around a few times to find it as cheap as I have it now.

I was considering trading mine in for a SS but I can't imagine what my insurance would be. Any 21 y/o's financing around with input?

Sweet. Glad your car has been reliable. I put about 35k a year on my vehicles. I had 2 ZR2 S-10s and now on my 2nd Cobalt SS since i've had this commute for work. I plan on keeping the SS/tc, as its a fun car. Hope I have similar results to yours. My 05 SSsc had 110k on it when I traded it in. Ran great.
