that would be me. tho my daily mileage has tanked and 383 will catch up to me. dibs on your suspension bits??? thats the only part of my balt i dont like. a bit wallowy, the tires are a big part of that but still. i havent done a major service since 60k. i did wires n plugs and fuel filter at 100k but other than that nothing. 8k oil and tire rotations is about all it gets. i dont even know if there is a 150k service but i need to look into it and get the stuff together to do it in the garage if possible.

Haha actually, my daily commute went from 100 miles minimum to 12 miles about 2 weeks ago

You might be safe!

Worst part of my 200k balt was the suspension. I replaced everythimg n couldnt figure out why it feels so loose...even with new tires.

How much is the insured value of the car? If it's totaled would it be feasible to buy the car back and since it's mechanically okay fix it yourself with the money from the insurance?

NO. the insurance will pay what the retail value is of the car. which should be around 4-6k. BUT, they have to pay what it would cost to replace the car as it is now...and as it is RIGHT NOW, it has a $4,000 paint job, almost $2,000 in mods. the paint job didnt cost that much, but because my friend owns the bodyshop he will show them that its kandy paint and that isnt cheap. They have to pay for the mods i have on my car or i will take them all off. the good news is, we also know the adjuster that will be looking at the car tomorrow. he's known to squeeze some numbers outta places you dont expect. lol

i owe 7,400 on car. im told that the car is not worth keeping by the way it looks on the outside. BUT, if i can salvage it, i know i can get good money for the interior and other parts. i recently replaced most of the interior panels with new ones after i got tired of the painted interior i had.

I KNOW my car has a lot of miles....but because its an SS model, its hold very good value. Ntm, the interior is VERY clean and looks only slightly used. the outside didnt have any scratches or dents before this incident. the insurance will have to pay a pretty penny. wouldnt be surprised if i got money back or a car back after its all paid off. thats the thinking now. we will see in the next couple days

if you had gap you dont have anything to worry about. i might could use the seats to build myself a GT5 chair. or hell to replace the tired old ones in my balt. then i would need F/R seats so the back seat doesnt look bad. turn the balt into an organ donor, save lives :P

Insurance gave a value of $10,084 for the balt. Not including mods, which will increase the value. Who likes that number? I do!

Who is your insurance company? Def don't want to invest in their stocks with payouts like that.
