2006 or 2007?

Hey ya'll, I finally saved up enough money to get my Cobalt SS/SC. (Well, with financing anyways. I'm not THAT loaded.)

My question is, would you buy a 2006 or a 2007? The 2007s come out in June don't they?

I also intend to get the performance package (the LSD package) What do you guys think about air bags, yay or nay? (the optional ones)

Thanks,
-Aleckor

I would wait for the 07's but you might find a better deal on a 06, not to mention the gas discount they have right now.

Keep in mind that I drive a 1990 Cavalier though. You could call me a little eager to upgrade.

What's this about a gas discount?

That might only be a Canada thing. GM are giving discount cards $.20/L off of your first 2500 liters of gas.

Can any of you confirm when the 2007 Cobalt will be released?

Or actually answer which one you'd buy. '06 or '07.

And wow, your side curtain air bags saved your life?

go big at first, you'll regret it later if you didn't.

I'd buy an 06 after they start selling the 07's (whenever that is).

Production of the 07 Cobalt's start June 19. Lordstown has already shut down production of the 06 model year in preparation of this. Expect to see the 07's hidden in the back of the larger dealer's lot by the 1-2nd week of August.

I already have my 07 ordered, CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!

Personally I don't like the number 2007. It irks me for some reason. '07 it just doesn't look as cool or sound as pretty as '06 and 2006.

Am I completely psychotic for thinking this?

I just got my 06 last week. They said that if I ordered one that I might have to wait til the end of June. So I went for the 06. But thats just me.

AWW come on Aleckor LUCKY number 7 baby. Seriously though, I think that it is worth it to wait, go sit in an 06 Cobalt and then an 06 HHR. If you like the steering wheel and the black tie radio in the HHR then get the 07 Cobalt. That's what I'm doing.

Maybe wait for '08, if you are that patient. It will have the 2.0L direct injection turbo engine
