100% AGREED!!! This car has to compete with Mazda3, Sentra Spec V, Civic SI sedan and Jetta MkV with the exception of Civic and Jetta, it's still got some way to go IMO.

I'm not too worried about people mistaking beating a N/A SS for the SS S/C because for those car enthusiasts that KNOW their cars will notice the diff bumpers from the N/A and the S/C. there is no lip on the front bumper found on the S/C and the rear bumper does not have the dual black inserts also found on the S/C. Either way, let people think what they want.

BTW: one good reason to leave the badges ON lol

The rear of the NA SS has its own unique fascia with an integrated mesh lip that I actailly prefer to a bolt-on extension. And since they finished off the front with a nice little lip at the bottom (no extension but looks nice the way they did it), people just may confuse these. I took delivery on Saturday and everyone compliments it but noone even knows there's 2 SS's yet.

Who cares folks all our cars are going to depreciate so get over it and enjoy your ride.

PICTURES DAMN SOON! (couldn't transfer them at work today so i'll do it at home later).

Was it involved in wreck??? Dealer invoice on a fully loaded SS/SC is $28,224.00 CDN. Man, guys like you really kill me spreading BS like this on the forums.

P.S. Fully loaded to means W2E (Recaro pkg), Sunroof and Side Air Bags w/ Onstar. Without On-Star and W2E, dealer invoice with freight and PDI is $24,792 + GST/PST

My bad I was talking about the coupe. I absolutely love how mine looks. The sedan seems alright IMO. Yeah they couldv'e done a bit more but maybe a SS/SC sedan will be available for 07' with the 6-spd auto?

I got my 2005 SS/SC for right around $16,000 USD before taxes, title, and license, fully loaded (the only thing missing was the Recaro/Quaife package). It all depends on whether the dealer is willing to give you the available incentives on top of the employee discount price or not.

sounds like you got a great deal. No dealer in Canada is going to sell a limited production model (all SS/SC's are manually allocated so dealers are luck to get any at all) for under their invoice cost. My point is that people throw figures around without merit or claim to back them up. I have taken the time to do the research, just like you have, and nothing is more insulting than to have that negated by a BS post - IMHO.

Yeah, the SS/SC seems to be fairly limited here too. I was amazed that places would let them go that cheap, but one dealership advertised a deal so they all had to match it. The original dealership was letting them go for $14,700 if you qualified for all the discounts. The only problem was I wanted the Recaro package...but the incentives were limited to dealer stock only. So I bit the bullet and did without the seats and LSD because it was going to be almost $23,000 with only the employee discount if I ordered the car.

With the money you saved you can afford to buy the Recaro's seperately and still have $$ left over. Do your seats have the blue inserts? If I find I don't like the Recaro's then I'm willing to swap seats with someone who has blue inserts.

hey tiller, i love your car, i test drove one with auto, wasnt impressed with the low end, but it kicked my ass past 4500 rpm. two things bother me, the engine doest engage right when u put your foot on the gas, like the throttle is not proportioned with the pedle (maybe its just me and what i'm used to though,) and its just too damn expensive. props for being the first around to have one!
btw nice color

I noticed that too. It's two things: You're used to your other car since this is a lighter throttle (I noticed that too). It also has drive-by-wire throttle so all engine input is digital.

The VVT is sweet as it kicks in right after 2500. I'm loving it.

And you're right PenguinPIE, everyone wanted the badge lower now they want it higher. I'll take lower the way I got it any day.
