2007 SS/SC Production Dates

I'm just wondering if anyone happens to know when the last SS/SC rolled off the assembly line? Mine was quite late in the build and I'm just wondering how close it was to the end. The factory had already run out of Recaro seats for my G85 and gunmetal wheels.

Anyone still working for GM able to find this out? While I was still working there I got all my build sheets but didn't even think of looking up the build sequencing or build out info.

I do remember hearing about running out if Recaro seats. That's when the 2007 gunmetal rims / malibu ss / impala ss were being put on the 2007. Not many ppl can eye out the diff although they are pretty clear.

Yeah. I had a friend that had the Malibu SS wheels on them. When I ordered mine, it seems as though they didn't even have any of the Malibu wheels left. I was told I had to go with the polished wheels to put my car through into production after they had sent my order to the factory. This makes me think that my SS/SC was near the end of 2007 production.

I think I have all of the VIN lookup documents that GM Customer Service could provide but I could double check with them. I forgot that we have a rep on the site.

When was yours built?

My car was built in April of 07'.

I was able to get the malibu ss wheels, but I chose polished, because I read about the gun metal paint (hyper silver metallic) flaking off.

Mine was built May 22, 2007.

I'm glad I went with the polished wheels in the end. I like the older gunmetal wheels but I wasn't a fan of the Malibu SS wheels.

I kinda like the malibu style better, but the polished wheels with laser blue pop.

I still have my production polished wheels. Ill never sell them.

What I was looking for was to find out was when the last SS/SC was produced or a way to find out how close mine was to the end of SS/SC production.
