Herp. This project is a stupid, waste of time.. you don't even have wheels to drive it.

Some people I swear. lmao CSS at it's finest.

Well, got the brake lines on the front brakes all finished up, had to use the GTO flex lines instead of the cobalts because the cobalts weren't long enough.

Also got the power steering fluid resevoir mounted in the engine bay, and have some ideas for where to put the spark plug packs so that they dont interfere with the master cylinder.

Not tonight, but tomorrow night its back into wiring! Should have my wheels this week too!

Sorry for keeping you guys in the dark the last couple weeks. I finally got my wheels... images below!

Also couple other things to report on:

1)Power steering is done and hooked up.
2)Front brakes are complete
3)Rear brakes just need fittings and they are done
4)Couldnt get the Cobalt gas pedal to work, had to fab a bracket to put the GTO pedal in.. Done none the less
5)Spark plug coil pack bracket has been modified to clear the master cylinder
6)Basically the front end is ready to be put back together

Still to do:
1)Finish Gas pedal bracket (just need to make it a bit more rigid)
2)Install air ride
3)Exhaust
4)Widen rear fenders
5)Install interior
6)EVAP system
7)Mount rear air bag struts

Almost done people~!

It's actually not that bad, I work at a metal fab shop so all the fabrication stuff is basically free.

When I blew up my motor, the sale of my turbo kit and air ride and old rims basically paid for a 05 GTO with LS2 in it. It's actually been fairly straight forward from there, the only additional I've put into it is a new air ride kit, and new wheels. Dont get me wrong if your starting from scratch and have to pay someone to do this its definately not worth it.. But if your doing it yourself and have the tools and expertise to get it done its definitely worth it (I HOPE!)

Finally you got some wheels, this has been a fun project to watch evolve. Can't wait for burnout videos, hope you have extra rubber lined up because I have a feeling those tires aren't going to be lasting long

There is a good chance you'll have too, either a cage or look into Powell UCR (under car rails) not sure how much they will help on your extreme build but they stiffen up the car a lot

bags would be the only proper way to do stance on our cars imho, if you arent looking for autox or a "drivers car"

Looking good so far. It is awsome that you took on this project. Makes me recall someone performing a RWD conversion on a Grand AM GT. Trailed to the GM Nationals many years ago from Cali. When it started up you'd think $100 dollar bills were falling out of the sky.....what a crowd that received. Nothing like being different!!!!

What do you mean by that, $100.00 bills coming out of the sky? Just the amount of cash required to do it or what?

He's saying how much praise and crowd attention your cobalt will get.

It received so much attention it'd be the same as if $100 bills were falling from the sky around it.
