7 Second Cobalt SS...

I was reading a "Modified" car mag and there where 2 Turbo'ed Cobalt SS's in there that where hitting 7's. 1 was 7.55 at 196 MPH. The other was 7.9 at like 188 or something. pretty sweet to see them get that fast, even though they had parachutes and no way where street legal.

Imagine having a street legal car that went from 0-190 in 7sec? That would be insane because most economy cars get from 0-60 in 7-8 sec

A 8-9 second Cobalt SS would be undrivable on the streets... there is such a thing as too much power. You could never get enough traction to drive the thing... and as soon as the boost kicked in you'd be gone.

I hate to use the old I have buddy thing, but I have seen a daily driven 9 sec Civic. He broke things when he would play, but driving it regularly he didn't break anything.

seems to be the standard with most civics when modified that much or nearly any car for that matter. But yeah I have seen quite a few cars hitting in those areas just drive off into the sunset after a couple runs at the track like it was second nature to always have that ride knowing it's potential
