Aeroforce Interceptor gauge issues
Aeroforce Interceptor gauge issues
I'm trying to get my new Aeroforce Interceptor gauges working, but they aren't working right.
They will turn on and off with the car, but when i start the car again they won't come on, if you push a button the 2 red lights come on... If i shut off the car unplug the obd plug, plug it back in, both gauges power up when I start the car, however if i shut it off again and try again, back to them not coming on and the red lights coming on when I push a button
Dual PT Set up in an 06 Cobalt SS/SC

I'm about to install one of these as well.
When you are installing the add-a-fuse, that just comes with the hot wire correct? You still need to ground the somewhere? Where is a good place to run a ground assuming, the gauge is going into the pillar?

So just an update... The online manual is WAY better and WAY more informative than the little 1 page blurb that comes with them!! Last night I soldered up a harness to run an add-a-fuse. Now I just have to find the time to install it. While I was at it I extended the aux wires to below the dash in case I want to use them in the future (like oil pressure or their wideband O2 kit)
No need for a ground, you only need to add a hot wire.
I'm now seeing other issues that I'm assuming are all because its just running off the OBD port. Like taking for ever to turn on.

so, just an update...
I braved the cold and snow (blowing snow, -8°C/17°F) last night to install my aux power cable for the gauges. My fingers and toes were frozen by the time I was done but it was well worth it, the gauges work perfect and fire right up every time now! I tapped into the sunroof circuit with the add-a-fuse. Right now, I won't be using the sunroof for a few months, we'll see how it works in the summer.

Gauge not turning on
So I recently installed an Interceptor gauge and I can't get it to power on with the car. It will power on if I unplug it from the ODB port and plug it back in while the car is running, and it will shut off when the car does. 06 Cobalt so I needed to run the external power source, which I have with the help of an "add a circuit", utilizing the sunroof fuse, I've removed the jumper as well. I moved it to a different fuse and the same thing happens. I've gone over it with aeroforce support and they don't have any answers and want me to send it to them to see what they can do. I'm posting to see if anyone else has any ideas before I pull it and ship it.
