Airbag Problem

Recently switched out my cloth seats for a set of leather ss seats and there is not a plug in for the passenger side sensor so my airbag on the passenger side wont turn on since there is no indicator. Anyone know how to get that on maybe plug into a different fuse or something I cant ride around without that passenger airbag off. Thanks Guys

I would think you could actually buy an airbag sensor and install it under the new seat. Then you can plug in, the airbag light will be off, and the airbag will actually work.

Take the sensor out of the old seat and put it in the new one.

They do you just have to get the right year. If all else fails go to gmpartsdirect and see what the cost is for a replacement sensor.

They're pretty much expensive just based on what they are. I got mine of GMPartsDirect.com. Ran me about $300, but solved the problem. Or, like NCC said, see if you can find a used one somewhere.

As far as I know, if there's no sensor, the computer is gonna throw the light. I looked around for a temporary fix when mine was on with no success. I'd say go to a junk yard and see if you can get a used stock seat for your car. The sensor is attached to the bottom of the seat, so you could take that one out. It should be less expensive.
