Another Snapped Driveshaft at the Track :(

Broke where the drive shaft meets the CV Joint on the drivers side.

I got set wrong into the water box from what people on the line told me (I was at and angle so my right side was out of the water)...... And without an LSD, only my left tire spun during my burnout (usually they both do if im set in the water correctly).

So when I launched from the tree, Only me left tire caught traction , so all my power got sent to it and made a big snap. Couldnt go anywhere after that.

Broke where the drive shaft meets the CV Joint on the drivers side.

Had to get pushed off and towed back home.

I am not surprised though. I only launched at around 3000 rpm, but it was all on the left tire. I guess time to upgrade to a quaiffe and get some better shafts. Ill get pics of the damage up as soon as i can.

Someone got a link as to where I can order the better shafts?

These are the same shafts that Intense sells. Good to 400whp.
Do you need my shafts to get you back on the road????

^^ when he went to wet them on one tire was in the water so one was dry and the other was wet. When he went to warm them only the wet one spun and once it was hot enough all the force was put on the one drive shaft making it fail.

Well the axles are moving from my future mods list to the paid for list on the first, so I'm not too worried, but before thay get put on, I'm not going anywhere...well at full power anyway...

Ah. That would be the last thing I would need. Isn't it automatic warranty lossage (don't think that's a word) if you get towed from the track?

nothing to be really embarrased about. 90% of the people who goto the track are there as major car enthusiats and realize that **** happens, and usually empathize more with the person that it happened too than "HAHA SUCKER!"

the other 10% are the girlfriends/wives that got dragged down

Umm.

No it wasnt embarrassing at all. I knew I was taking a risk with the slicks. People werent laughing at me or anything, quite a few people (moslty girls) offered my rides home. And other people all offered to help push the car.

As for the automatic voided warranty for getting towed home from the track.... well maybe i guess if the dealership knows.... but what the dealership doesnt know cant hurt thm right?. This isnt something I will be getting replaced on warranty anyways.

I think it is the clutch and slicks combined. I am running stock clutch and DRs but I am launching at 3500RPM. I figure if anything is going to break it is the clutch.

You can get shafts from the drive shaft shop and I think its ot intense racing also sells them. 800 for the pair and they are rated for 400hp.
