Any Suggestions for exhaust/

I have a 06 cobalt ss/sc and im looking into getting an exhaust soon. I've been looking on youtube as to which exhaust sounds the best in my opinion but they all sound pretty badass. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what would be the best for the car?

Are you doing header/downpipe and exhaust, or just exhaust?

I was going to say the sae. It does matter sound and performance wise.
If it were me I'd go Bad Man header Cattless d/p and Ark N2 Catback

Everyone in here is gonna say don't go catless cuz it sounds like ****...blah blah blah. I recently went catless and its louder, but I really don't mind it. I had a resonator welded in and it's not that bad. As far as Header/DP it kinda just depends. ZZP has great products. I actually have OTTP Longtube catless and really like it. Badmad is very popular shorty header and alot of people get that and a ZZP downpipe. As far as actual exhaust ZZP has a great 3in exhaust or you could even just have a custom one built at an exhaust shop. Hope that helps

ZZP long tube header/DP combo catless

borla catback or GMPP exhaust

thats what I would run, most bang for the buck

I would do a header and 3" catted downpipe before a cat back. The stock manifold and downpipe are pretty restrictive. I would go catted on the downpipe from what I've read cat-less gives minimal gains on the ss/sc and the rasp is bad. Corsa, Gmpp and stock sound the best for cat-backs.

If you're not going to be getting a header I vote Stainless Works Turbo Chambered muffler: 2.5" ID CENTER INLET/ 2.5" OD OFFSET OUTLET 5"X9"

And CTI 2.5 Over Axel Replacement CTI 2.5 Over Axel Replacement for after market muffler

Awesome deep idle, absolutely silent when cruising and super nice bark at WOT

If you were going to go with headers I'd do:

Bad mab header for $160 Bad Mab 2005-2007 Cobalt SS LSJ Header, Bad News Racing

ZZP 3" to 2.5" downpipe with cat: ZZP 2.5in Ecotec Downpipe, Bad News Racing

Mandrel Exhaust 2.5" tube kit: 05-10 CHEVY COBALT EXHAUST TUBING KIT

18" Magnaflow Resonator: ADD ON RESONATOR OPTION - 18 INCH MODEL

Stainlessworks Turbo Chambered Muffler (2.5 center in, 2.5 offset out):
2.5" ID CENTER INLET/ 2.5" OD OFFSET OUTLET 5"X9"

Just have to pick a nice tip (or reuse stock) and you're done. Great flow, amazing exhaust gas velocity, awesome sound

Magnaflow cat back and Vibrant are good quality choices.

I have the ARK n2 exhaust and it sounds sick! Not ricey or raspy for having a can

But IMO the next exhaust i get will be this:
Cobalt SS/SC fly-by - YouTube
